The primary role of the Electronic Enrollment Specialist (EES) is to provide a mix of clerical, analytical and functional support for implementations and maintenance of member eligibility on benefit plans using electronic enrollment options. The EES works with both internal and external subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure that benefit enrollments via electronic files or self service products are processed according to requirements. This includes testing activities for new implementations as well as monitoring production reports, performing audits and ensuring follow through for corrections. Some data entry duties are necessary as well. The EES also has shared responsibility for submission of enrollment files to third parties, such as pharmacy vendors or other carriers, and for analyzing error reports received from carrier vendors. The EES has multiple client accounts assigned and must be able to multi-task and change priorities frequently depending on the day’s activities which tend to move at a fast pace. In this position, the EES is looked to as a resource for recommendations on process and to influence continuous quality improvements. The person in this position must have excellent written and verbal skills as well as proficiency with both existing legacy technology (or ability to quickly master) and Windows-based products.  Proficiency with Excel is a must.
 
Essential Functions:

  • Prepare test plans and assist the Manager, Electronic Enrollment and Benefit Analyst with implementation testing.
  • Maintain those electronic enrollment clients currently in production who have complex or special handling requirements.
  • Function as a plan setup specialist for both the legacy system and self service product.
  • Complete procedures to run and submit enrollment files for carrier vendors.
  • Auditing of records and information research.
  • Resolve questions and complex issues with clients or HMA specialists as needed.
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.
Successful Candidate will have:

  • AA degree or certificate in Employee Benefits, IT/Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years of Benefit Systems Administration experience, including implementation and data management experience.
  • 2 years employee benefit enrollment audit experience.
  • 2 years experience using MS Excel and creating reports from a data base.
  • 1 year experience electronic file management and/or scheduling.
  • Extremely detail oriented, with proven ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Superior customer service skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
