HMA Launches Healthcare Reimbursement Account Administration

HMA is pleased to announce that we have completed our Healthcare Reimbursement Account (HRA) product development.  After thorough testing we moved into full production with a large customer in January.  We are now confident in our capability to administer HRAs for new and existing customers.  Highlights of our approach to HRA administration include:
 
Full integration into our claim processing system:  Our research has shown that our claim processing system, Trizetto's QicLink product, is the only major TPA system with the capability to roll claims automatically from the high deductible plan to the HRA and FSA plans for adjudication and validation.  This means that enrollees do not have to submit claims for reimbursement for medical expenses covered by the high-deductible plan.  It also allows us to reimburse providers directly from the HRA fund without requiring the enrollee to pay the provider first and await reimbursement.  Enrollees may also elect to set up automatical reimbursement out of their FSA for any remaining expenses.
 
One-stop shopping:  Self-funded employers can save time by working with a single vendor for both their high deductible plan and their consumer accounts.  Enrollees will have only one number to call for questions on their plan.  Simplicity and ease of use are key considerations as we begin helping enrollees become better healthcare consumers.
 
We plan on continuing our Consumer Directed product development efforts on an ongoing basis.  We will inform you of our progress and announce new features such as debit card technology, Healthcare Saving Account partnerships, and Integrated Medical and Pharmacy Deductibles as they become available.
