For the past three weeks, HMA partnered with Hopelink Food Bank’s “End Summer Hunger Program” in an effort to ensure that disadvantaged children are provided with meals over the summer months during a time where school food assistance programs are unavailable. With the help of the 2017 HMA Summer Interns and the donations of the our employees, we raised a total of 13,042 ounces on no-perishable food, which was almost three times more than the original goal! With the Claims and Care Management departments topping the chats by collectively donating 5,871 ounces, the HMA community made an effort to invest and support our surrounding Bellevue community.

Additionally, the food drive concluded with an all staff “Ice Cream Social” attended by about 60 of our very own employees. It was great to see so many fresh faces attend this fun, social event where we awarded one lucky raffle winner a prize vacation to the Semiahmoo Resort in Blaine, Wa.

Collectively, we achieved our goal and became the organization that gave hope to a child in need.
